Family roots run deep in the Traverse City area for Rodney. He finds the people are friendly and there are so many things that you can do indoors and outdoors each season. Traverse City has a small town atmosphere with big city activities. Rodney and Cheryl have been married for eleven years and he has two stepsons, Edward and Travis, and his daughter who attends medical school in Wyoming. His mother, sister and brother all live in Traverse. Rodney loves golf, down hill skiing, acting in local theater, dancing and being the SwingShift and the Stars stage manager. He also is a Bagpipe musician and a member of the Grand Traverse Pipes and Drums.
After serving proudly in the Army 1st Ranger battalion and a twenty-year stint in a factory, Rodney went back to school and became a medical massage therapist and is now the owner of A Body Balance Clinical Massage. Having been integrally involved with SwingShift and the Stars from the beginning, Rodney is looking forward to his third season as a dance instructor and, is super excited to be able to teach someone that anyone can dance while representing their charity well and exciting the crowd. He is most thrilled by the sense of community that this event inspires even during tough times.

High Impact Productions, Inc.
Judy Harrison and SwingShift first took to the stage on May 18th, 2007 and have been entertaining local audiences ever since with their tight harmonies and dynamic choreography. The latest band in the High Impact Productions arsenal, SwingShift has all the high energy and fun of, ReBooted (formerly High Impact), Harrison's country/rock band, but with a unique, big band sound, not typical of the Northern Michigan music scene. Incorporating songs from both the swing era as well as some jazz and Latin favorites, the SwingShift musical repertoire will entice you to grab a partner and hit the floor.
