Victor was raised in the fishing port village of Quanicassee near Bay City on a farm. He made Traverse City his home in 1992 when he secured a job transfer with Ameritech/SBC/AT&T. He says the area is a perfect balance for his life . . . not too big, not too small. He and Matilde (Matt), his life partner of 34 years are very close to his three older sisters that are scattered over Michigan and Ohio and they all enjoy getting together as often as possible. He has developed a keen interest in dancing and enjoys the classroom camaraderie. He also enjoys tinkering with old VW Beetles and gardening.
Victor earned a teaching degree from Michigan State University but was snatched up by "Ma Bell" upon graduation in 1975. He truly enjoys teaching and helping others; academically, organizationally or by sharing whatever it is he has. All of this makes Victor an excellent instructor for SwingShift and the Stars.
Mission Statement
Putting the fun back in fundraising, SwingShift and the Stars Dance-off For Charity, provides unequalled philanthropic opportunity by creating a partnership between local charities and the community through high quality entertainment and friendly competition.
High Impact Productions, Inc.
Judy Harrison and SwingShift first took to the stage on May 18th, 2007 and have been entertaining local audiences ever since with their tight harmonies and dynamic choreography. The latest band in the High Impact Productions arsenal, SwingShift has all the high energy and fun of, ReBooted (formerly High Impact), Harrison's country/rock band, but with a unique, big band sound, not typical of the Northern Michigan music scene. Incorporating songs from both the swing era as well as some jazz and Latin favorites, the SwingShift musical repertoire will entice you to grab a partner and hit the floor.
